It Wasn't Me: Funding Bugs in APEX Applications

 Debugging   |    Jun 28th 2016 (Session 12)  |    4:45 pm - 5:45 pm

Schedule a meeting

Reserve your 1-on-1 session with the FOEX team:

Every programmer eventually will hit a point in developing applications when something doesn't work as expected or when a client reports a bug or strange behavior. In this situation it is important to be able to locate the source of the problem and find out how that influences other parts of your application.

In this presentation I'll show you some techniques to debug your APEX applications on several levels, from the browser down to the database. Also, we are going to discuss about the tools used for instrumentation and the ones used for debugging. Finally, I'll show you how to blame others for the bugs you found ;-)

Release the Brakes: Why Is My APEX Application Slow?

 Performance Tunning   |    Jun 29th 2016 (Session 15a)  |    12:45 pm - 1:45 pm

Oracle APEX isn't slow on its own, but your application code can slow it down. When that happens, you want to find out where the time gets spent and how you can improve on that. Now here it is important to have the right tools at hand to find out what's going on.

I'll show you some approaches on how to find out what's going on and where the time is actually lost. Is it the browser, the network, the database, or just APEX itself? This session will give you everything you need to speed up your applications and help you to avoid common mistakes.

Even Al Capone Would Use FOEX! Managing Complex Requirements Fast and Easy

 Vendor Presentation   |    Jun 28th 2016 (Session 8)  |    9:45 am - 10:45 am

The FOEX Plugin Framework is an Enterprise RAD tool specifically designed for you to build and manage data-heavy web applications fast and with ease. A major challenge for most organizations is finding a flexible yet powerful development tool that can also deliver a rich end-user experience. With FOEX you can do just that! Built on top of Oracle APEX and Sencha Ext JS, you can use its powerful set of plugins to solve some of the most complex requirements at a fraction of the cost and time spent using other technologies.

If you’re still running on legacy systems fret not: FOEX helps maximize your previous investment in such solutions (ex: Oracle Forms) by reusing existing database objects and business logic. It also allows you to easily build EBS extensions or simply enhance standard APEX, all while providing an enhanced end-user experience. But don’t just take our word for it. Join us and we’ll show you how Al Capone himself could have leveraged the power of the FOEX Plugin Framework.
